Copy-paste between projects
Copying and pasting lets you reuse objects, groups, components, and complete screens across PandaSuite projects.
What elements can be copied?
You can copy and paste the following elements between your PandaSuite projects:
- Objects: Texts, images, buttons, videos, etc.
- Groups of objects: Complex compositions grouped for easy reuse.
- Components: Modules like Video Player, Audio Player, or Lottie Animation.
- Screens: Complete screens, including their states and interactions.
Copy objects, groups, and components
- Open the source project.
- Select the object, group, or component.
- Press
Ctrl+Con Windows or⌘Con Mac. - Switch to the target project and open the screen where you want to place the copied content.
- Press
Ctrl+Von Windows or⌘Von Mac.
Copy a complete screen
- In the source project, open the menu for the screen you want to copy.
- Select Copy screen.
Paste within the same project
Open the menu for the screen after which you want to place the copy, then select Paste screen. If you copied the screen in the same open project, Paste screen inserts it directly after the screen whose menu is open.
Paste from another open project
For security, open projects do not automatically share copied content. When
the screen comes from another open project, switch to the target project,
select the target screen, then explicitly paste with Ctrl+V on Windows or
⌘V on Mac. The copied screen is inserted immediately after the selected
screen.
Copying a complete screen includes its states and interactions. In the target project, test any interactions that point to other screens or content outside the copied screen; they may need to be reconnected.
Best practices
Copy manageable selections
Break up very large groups when possible to reduce conflicts and slowdowns in the editor.
Name elements before copying
Give groups and objects clear names so they are easy to identify in the target project.
